From planning your pregnancy all the way through labor & delivery, Associates in Women's Health provides care to ensure a healthy outcome for you and your baby! Our 17 Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians offer a broad range of services — whether you need basic prenatal care or are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy and could benefit from the attention of our specialized Maternal-Fetal Medicine department.
Obstetrics and Gynecology services are offered at all three of our main locations in East Wichita, West Wichita and Newton, KS.
As trained obstetricians, our physicians offer preconception counseling and care for both normal and high-risk obstetrical patients. The physician/patient relationship is an important part of obstetrical care. At Associates in Women's Health, you will always have access to your physician or the physician on call.
Generally obstetrical visits begin between the 8th and 12th week of pregnancy and occur on a monthly basis until the 28th week. Visits then increase to twice a month until the 36th week, at which time visits are scheduled weekly until delivery.
Maternal-Fetal Medicine is a sub-specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology that helps to identify and manage potential high-risk conditions and birth defects. Associates in Women's Health is proud to offer these specialized services to the expectant mothers of Kansas who may be facing a more challenging pregnancy.
Please visit our Maternal-Fetal Medicine page for more information about this highly specialized care.
