Dr. Giefer was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but from the age of four was raised in Pittsburg, Kansas. She graduated from Pittsburg High School and completed her Bachelor’s degree at Pittsburg State University in General Studies with minors in Chemistry and Biology.
She then attended the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where she completed a Master of Arts in Bioethics followed by her Medical Degree in Osteopathy. She then completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at HCA Wesley Medical Center through the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.
Outside of work, Dr. Giefer enjoys interior design and event planning for family and friends. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys while awaiting the arrival of her third son. Dr. Giefer is dedicated to giving back to the community here in Kansas by caring for patients at Associates in Women’s Health.
